Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • - powdered sugar to taste

How To Make coeur a la creme

  • Step 1
    Line your mold (or a colander) with cheese cloth that has been rinsed in cold water and wrung out. Let excess hang over the sides.
  • Step 2
    Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream. Whip the heavy cream to very soft peaks and fold in. Add powdered sugar to taste. Stir in vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Spoon into prepared mold and fold cheese cloth over the top. Cover with plastis wrap and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Place mold on a plate to catch drainage.
  • Step 4
    To serve: open cheese cloth and invert onto a serving plate. Serve with fresh berries and whipped cream.
