Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 4 or 5 tablespoons cocoa powder ( less or more to your taste )
  • 2 1/4 cups hot water

How To Make chocolate cobbler

  • Step 1
    In a 9 x 13 baking pan melt the 2 sticks butter
  • Step 2
    mix in large bowl < 1 1/2 cups sugar and the 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour , 2 Tblsp. vanilla an the 3/4 cup milk , mix well. pour over the butter.
  • Step 3
    mix in small bowl : 1 cup sugar and 4 or 5 Tbsp. (less or more to taste) cocoa powder < sprinkle over the batter > DO NOT STIR >
  • Step 4
    2 cups hot water (POUR OVER TOP OF COCOA MIXTURE, DO NOT STIR >
  • Step 5
    bAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 35 TO 40 MINUTES TILL GOLDEN BROWN>
