This is one of my granddaughters favorite desserts. She requested it for her birthday instead of a traditional cake. My family likes it warm, not hot with ice cream.

Ingredients
- FILLING
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups water
How To Make chocolate cobbler

Step 1Sift dry ingredients together into a deep dish large pie pan or dish.

Step 2Stir in milk, butter, vanilla, spread evenly.

Step 3Topping: mix sugars with cocoa and sprinkle over batter.

Step 4Pour water over all, do not mix.

Step 5Bake at 350 for 45 minutes on a cookie sheet to catch any drips.

Step 6Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
