yield Frosting for one 9 X13 cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, salted
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 t evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa, special dark
  • 1 pound powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

How To Make chocolate candy frosting

  • Step 1
    For 9 X 13 cake. Prick cake surface with fork, while cake is still warm.
  • Step 2
    Combine butter, milk & cocoa in large heavy sauce pan. Bring to boil - stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Stir in sugar.
  • Step 4
    Return to boil - stirring constantly. As soon as it comes to boil, remove from heat.
  • Step 5
    Add vanilla - stirring 3 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Quickly put on cake.
