Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, salted
1/4 c
plus 2 t evaporated milk
1/4 c
cocoa, special dark
1 lb
powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract

How to Make Chocolate Candy Frosting

Step-by-Step

  • 1For 9 X 13 cake. Prick cake surface with fork, while cake is still warm.
  • 2Combine butter, milk & cocoa in large heavy sauce pan.
    Bring to boil - stirring constantly.
  • 3Stir in sugar.
  • 4Return to boil - stirring constantly. As soon as it comes to boil, remove from heat.
  • 5Add vanilla - stirring 3 minutes.
  • 6Quickly put on cake.
