Frosting for one 9 X13 cake

  • 1/2 c
    butter, salted
  • 1/4 c
    plus 2 t evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa, special dark
  • 1 lb
    powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How to Make Chocolate Candy Frosting


  1. For 9 X 13 cake. Prick cake surface with fork, while cake is still warm.
  2. Combine butter, milk & cocoa in large heavy sauce pan.
    Bring to boil - stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in sugar.
  4. Return to boil - stirring constantly. As soon as it comes to boil, remove from heat.
  5. Add vanilla - stirring 3 minutes.
  6. Quickly put on cake.
