Ingredients

1 boxyellow cake mix

1 stickbutter, cut into slices

1egg
-
1 cpecans, chopped

TOPPING
-
1 pkg(8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
-
1 boxpowdered sugar
-
2eggs
-
1 Tbspvanilla
How to Make Chess Squares
- Directions for dry mixture - In a large mixing bowl: mix cake mix, egg, butter and pecans. Mix well.
- Place mixture in a 9 X 13-inch baking dish.
- Directions for topping mixture - In a large mixing bowl: mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Mix well.
- Pour topping mixture over dry mixture.
- Bake for 30 - 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into squares.
