Ingredients

1 1/4 csugar

1 cflour
-
1 tspsoda
-
1 tspcinnamon

pinchsalt

2eggs well beating

2 cdrained sour cherries - reserve juice

1/2 cnuts (optional)
How to Make Cherry Torte
- Sift together the dry ingredients. In a small bowl mix the eggs, cheries and nuts. Add to the dry ingr. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan and bake for 35 to 40 min. in a 350 oven.
- For the sauce...put 1 c cherry juice, 1 T. cornstarch, 1/4 c corn syrup and 1/4 sugar in a small saucepan and cook until thick. Serve the torte with whipped cream with the sauce drizzled over the top.
