Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/3 c
    half and half cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    ice cream optional

How to Make Caramel ice cream sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. In a small saucepan , combine the brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in cream, water and corn syrup until smooth. Bring to a boil ; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted. Serve warm or cold over ice cream. Refridgerate leftovers.
