Ingredients

1/2 c
packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp
cornstarch
1/3 c
half and half cream
2 Tbsp
water
2 Tbsp
light corn syrup
1 Tbsp
butter
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
ice cream optional

How to Make Caramel ice cream sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a small saucepan , combine the brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in cream, water and corn syrup until smooth. Bring to a boil ; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat.
  • 2Stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted. Serve warm or cold over ice cream. Refridgerate leftovers.
