I found this recipe in an old recipe box of my grandmothers.I make ths every Christmas. Everybody loves it and asks me to make it.

  • 1 c
    butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 2 c
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4
  • 2/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    peppermint extract

How to Make Candy Cane Brownies


  1. Grease or spray a 9x13.Preheat oven to 350.
  2. whisk together flour, baking powder, set aside. Melt butter and chocolate chips.
  3. Add to a large bowl, butter mixture,sugar,extract.Mix well, stir in dry ingredients.
  4. Pour into a 9x13 pan.Bake for 20 - 25 min.
