CANDIED SWEET POTATOES MY WAY
6 largebright orange sweet potatoes
1 lbdark brown sugar
1 stickbutter, room temperature
1 tspground cinnamon
1 tspvanilla extract
2 cminature marshmallows
1/2 cwhite sugar
How to Make CANDIED SWEET POTATOES MY WAY
- STEP ONE:
Wash and peel potatoes, chunk cut potatoes into two inch disk.
- STEP 2: Place potato disk into a large sauce pan and cove them with water. Add the 2 tsp salt and 1/2 cup of white sugar. Cover and boil over medium heat until fork tender, about 30 minutes.
- PREHEAT OVEN @ 350 degreees F.
Spray a 13x9x2 oven baking pan with pam.
- Place fork tender potatoes into baking pan. Add Vanilla and Cinnamon to Brown Sugar and stir well.
Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over potatoes, place a slices of butter over brown sugar. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove from oven and remove foil.
- Sprinkle evenly with marshmallows and continue baking until marshmallows are toasty brown.
