This was passed to me from my mother-in-love! One of my husbands favorite things growing up, she made these quite often as they were less expensive than chocolate ones and she always had the ingrediants on hand. I crave sweet things, but don't always want chocolate, so these hit the spot. Awesome with rich vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 - eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

How To Make butterscotch brownies

Step 1

Melt 1/2 cup butter, add brown sugar and let cool.

Step 2

Add 2 eggs and vanilla. Blend well.
Step 3

Add baking powder and salt, mix well. Slowly add flour until fully mixed in. Scrape into greased or sprayed 9X9 pan. (I use glass.) Bake 30 min @ 350 degrees.
