butterscotch brownies

This was passed to me from my mother-in-love! One of my husbands favorite things growing up, she made these quite often as they were less expensive than chocolate ones and she always had the ingrediants on hand. I crave sweet things, but don't always want chocolate, so these hit the spot. Awesome with rich vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make butterscotch brownies

Step 1Melt 1/2 cup butter, add brown sugar and let cool.

Step 2Add 2 eggs and vanilla. Blend well.

Step 3Add baking powder and salt, mix well. Slowly add flour until fully mixed in. Scrape into greased or sprayed 9X9 pan. (I use glass.) Bake 30 min @ 350 degrees.
