How to Make Browned Butter Kahlua Icing
- Place butter into saucepan, and heat until lightly browned. Remove from heat and add Kahlua and heavy cream. Whisk in powdered sugar until you have the consistency that you desire (you should be looking for a thick, smooth icing that is still pourable for brownies or dipping the tops of muffins or cupcakes in (without paper liners.) If pouring over brownies or a cake, spread to edges with an offset knife to cover. Refrigerate til set. More powdered sugar can be whisked in, a little at a time, for slightly thicker frosting to frost with or fill a pastry bag with for piping.
