This is a great recipe to make when it's cold and rainy outside. Not so much in the summer time. When you do try it you'll love it!

Ingredients For bread pudding

  • 4 cups
    challah (egg bread) cubed
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups
    milk
  • 1/2 cup
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 cup
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup
    raisins
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    butter, sliced into pieces

How To Make bread pudding

    Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2
    Coat on 11 X 7 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Spread bread cubes in pan. Whisk together eggs, milk, granulated sugar and vanilla. Stir in Walnuts and raisins. Pour mixture over bread cubes;press into bread with back of spoon. Combine cinnamon and brown sugar and sprinkle on top of bread mixture, and dot with butter.

    Bake 50 to 55 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
