basic bread pudding (microwave)

This is a very easy recipe. I keep cut up bread in the freezer, whenever I have pieces left at the end of a loaf. It's made in a glass cake pan and I throw it together for my husband and he thinks I'm great.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread cubes lightly packed into cup(4-5 slices)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • BASIC BREAD PUDDING POWER LEVEL HIGH (10) MED HIGH (7)

How To Make basic bread pudding (microwave)

  • Step 1
    Spread bread cubes evenly in 8-inch round dish. Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and salt, then raisins
  • Step 2
    Measure milk into 1 qt. measuring cup. Add butter. MICROWAVE AT HIGH 4 MIN.until butter is melting.and milk is warm. Rapidly stir in eggs with a fork and mix well. Pour over bread cubes in dish.
  • Step 3
    MICROWAVE AT MEDIUM HIGH 9-12 MIN.rotating dish 1/2 turn after 6 min..When cooked, center may still be slightly soft. It will set up a pudding cools. Serve warm or with ice cream, You can add any other of your favorite ingredients.
