- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 large banana mashed
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8×8-inch metal pan. Line the pan with parchment paper.

Step 2In a medium bowl, sift the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking cocoa and set it aside.

Step 3Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas with a handheld electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment on medium-low for 1 minute. Using the mixer on low, slowly whisk in the butter.
