Ingredients

5 medium
apples
1 small
lemon
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
2
eggs
1/2 c
sugar
1 can(s)
evaporated milk 5oz
1 tsp
fresh grated ginger
1 Tbsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
1 pinch
salt
1 1/2 Tbsp
baking powder
oil to fry
cinnamon sugar to coat

How to Make Apple Fritters

Step-by-Step

  • 1Peel and dice apples. Grate ginger and add to apples along with juice from a lemon.
  • 2In large bowl mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.

    Once well mixed, fold in apples and mix well.
  • 3Heat oil to 350 and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls. Fry for a few minutes (til golden) and turn. Drain in colander (keeps crispy) sprinkle liberally with cinnamon sugar and toss to coat all over.
