Ingredients
- 5 medium apples
- 1 small lemon
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk 5oz
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- - oil to fry
- - cinnamon sugar to coat
How To Make apple fritters

Step 1Peel and dice apples. Grate ginger and add to apples along with juice from a lemon.

Step 2In large bowl mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Once well mixed, fold in apples and mix well.

Step 3Heat oil to 350 and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls. Fry for a few minutes (til golden) and turn. Drain in colander (keeps crispy) sprinkle liberally with cinnamon sugar and toss to coat all over.
