    handfulls cornflakes crushed

How to Make Apple Bars


  1. Put cinnamon and sugar on sliced apples. Set aside.combine flour, salt, shortening, butter.Add sugar and eggyolk.Spread dough on cookie sheet. Sprinkle cereal on dough. Add apple mixture.Roll top crust out and place over apples. Beat egg white and brush on top. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. When cool drizzle frosting on top : 1 Tablespoon water to 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
