No matter why I make this, it always disappears in a hurry! It is a wonderful cool summer dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 - angel food cake (large one w/hole in middle)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • can pie filling of your choice(we prefer cherry)
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed

How To Make angel food surprise

  • Step 1
    Layer 1: Take half of the angel food cake, pinch into small pieces. Place into bottom of large bowl. (I like to use a clear glass one.) Layer 2: Mix cream cheese and s/c milk with mixer. Pour over cake pieces. Layer 3: Take remaining cake, and pinch into small pieces. Place onto cream cheese mixture. Layer 4: Pour pie filling onto cake pieces. Layer 5: Spoon whipped topping onto pie filling. It can be eaten immediately, but is much better if it can sit overnight.
