Do you like strawberries? I do. And this yummy cake reminds me of those Sunday afternoons when Grandma Robinson and Uncle Charlie would have an angel food cake and pot of coffee ready for the visitors that used to come over to the house. Although Uncle Charlie rode his 3 wheeled bike down to the corner store to buy a cake, it is still a very fond memory. Nothing like small town living to let friends and neighbors spend time together...

Ingredients For angel delight

  • 1 box
    angel food cake mix
  • 2 box
    strawberry jello
  • 1 box
    frozen strawberries, mashed
  • 1 box
    dream whip (or cool whip if you can't find dream whip)

How To Make angel delight

  • 1
    Prepare cake per directions, break into bite size pieces and toss into 9x13.
  • 2
    Dissolve jello in hot water and let stand until partially set. Then whip jello with prepared dream whip. Add strawberries and mix lightly. Pour over cake and let stand overnight. (I tend to put it into the fridge).

    Serve with a dollop of dream whip or cool whip and a strawberry.
