Another Texas original. When I was a kid my brother and I would take turns turning the hand crank on the ice cream maker.... but it was worth it!

Ingredients

1 1/2 liters big red soda
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 - large bag of ice
1 - box rock salt
1 - 4 quart ice cream maker
1 pound diced fresh strawberries (optional)

How To Make texas big red ice cream

Step 1

In your ice cream container pour 1 1/2 liters Big Red then slowly add the 2 cans sweetened condensed milk, stawberries and stir.

Step 2

Place container in ice cream maker and layer ice and rock salt. Freeze until ready and then place container in freezer for 30 minutes.
