TARA'S FRIED APPLES
4 mediumtart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cbutter, do not substitute
1/2 cdark brown sugar
4turns around pan of corsely ground salt
Just a pinfrshly grated nutmeg
2 Tbspall purpose flour
1 Tbsplemon juice
How to Make TARA'S FRIED APPLES
- Set aside apples.
In a large heavy bottom pan, over medium heat melt butter; add sugar and spices, turn salt grinder 4 times around pan.
- Sprinkle flour over butter, wisk in water; add lemon juice.
- Add apples, stirring to coat; continue cooking until apples are soft, stirring now and then.
- Serve over vanilla ice cream; on pancakes or waffles; with pork and ham; or anything your heart desires!
