Ingredients
- 3 cups sliced strawberries
- 1/2 cup grand marnier liqueur
- 2 tablespoons drambuie liqueur
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 pints french vanilla ice cream, softened
How To Make strawberries romanoff ice cream
-
Step 1Combine the strawberries, liqueurs, sugar, orange and lemon zest in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours.
-
Step 2Beat the cream until stiff, then fold in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
-
Step 3Drain the strawberries, reserving the liquid. Mash the berries. Leave them as chunky or smooth as you like. (We like to see pieces). Fold the berries into the softened ice cream.
-
Step 4Spoon the ice cream mixture into pretty stemmed glasses or coupes. Spoon some of the reserved strawberry liquid over the top. Top with a dollop of the whipped cream. Serve immediately.
