My all time favorite ice cream is Spumoni and since it is very hard to find anymore on a menu at Italian resturants, I make this version and satisfies my craving!

Ingredients
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- 6 tablespoons sweet marsala wine
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 6 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup candied cherries(red, or a combination of red and green, halved)
- 1/2 cup candied pineapple, coursely chopped
- 2 1/4 ounces slivered almonds, toasted
- 5 ounces milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
How To Make spumoni

Step 1Soften ice cream in mixer; do not allow to melt. Stir in Marsala wine. Beat cream until stiff, incorporating powered sugar and vanilla; gently fold into ice cream. Fold in cherries, pineapple, almonds,and chocolate. Ladle into muffin tins that have been lined with foil/paper liners. Freeze immmediately, covered.
