This makes a delicious granita, can also be made with lemon juice for a lemon granita.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 3 cups strawberries, chopped
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 cup castor sugar

How To Make sicilian strawberry granita

  • Step 1
    Put 1/2 of strawberries and water into a blender and blend until pureed.
  • Step 2
    Add the rest of the strawberries and water, sugar, and lemon juice and blend until creamy and smooth.
  • Step 3
    Transfer mixture to chilled ice cream bucket. Churn the ingredients for approx. 30 minutes or until mixture is creamy and icy.
  • Step 4
    Best to eat right away but can be kept in the freezer for two days.
