praline sauce
We made this in 1983 (I graduated high school in 1985), at dinner parties at our house. It is where I learned to love pralines! Easy to make, well worth the effort...

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- - ice cream (we used vanilla)
How To Make praline sauce

Step 1Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add brown sugar. Cook 5-8 min, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and gradually stir in half and half. Cook 1 minute more, and remove from heat. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Serve over ice cream.
