Mangoes are very special to me, as my aunt & uncle gave me a tree 15 years ago. And I hold them so dear to my heart.

Ingredients

  • 2 large mangoes, peeled and cut
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 - egg white

How To Make mango sorbet

  • Step 1
    puree the mangoes in a blender or food processor, sift through a strainer.set aside
  • Step 2
    in a small pot, bring the water and sugar to a boil, till sugar melts...set aside and let cool completely.
  • Step 3
    meanwhile whip the egg white till a soft peak.
  • Step 4
    after cooled, add the 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the "simple syrup" (water and sugar)and combine with the mango puree
  • Step 5
    then gently fold in the egg white, freeze at least 4-6 hours or over night...to serve just take a fork and scrape....YUMMY
