Ingredients
- 1/5 bottle brandy (~3 cups)
- 4 cups sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 - vanilla bean, sliced lengthwise
- 2 ounces jar of yuban instant coffee (1 cup)
How To Make kahlua

Step 1Dissolve instant coffee in hot water. Turn to very low heat.

Step 2After coffee is completely dissolved add sugar and stir until clear. Take mixture off heat.

Step 3When pot is cool to touch, add brandy and stir to distribute.

Step 4Pour into sterilized canning jars or decorative food safe bottles containing half, (or slices of half of the vanilla bean.)

Step 5Seal, label and age 3 mo. (Use as appertif, over vanilla ice cream, as flavorful additions to cakes/candies, etc.
