This's dish can be frozen for up to 2 months but it never lasts that long in my house. It's a favorite of our grand kids.

Ingredients

20 to 24 - ice cream sandwiches
12 ounces cool whip
11 3/4 ounces hot fudge sauce or chocolate sauce
1 cup chopped nuts
- sliced fruit, optional

How To Make ice cream sandwich dessert

Step 1

Unwrap and place 1/2 of the sandwiches in a 9x13 inch pan. Cut a sandwich, if needed to fill the pan. Layer 1/2 the fudge or chocolate sauce over the sandwiches. Top with 1/2 the Cool Whip. Sprinkle 1/2 the nuts over the Cool Whip.

Step 2

Repeat the first layer. Cover and freeze. Can be frozen for up to 2months.
Step 3

You may add sliced bananas, sliced strawberries or any fruit you like over the chocolate layers. I add sliced bananas.
