This is a great ice cream. We have it a lot in the summer time when we have get togethers.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz1
  • 1 pound strawberries, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make homemade strawberry ice cream

  • Step 1
    Hull and chop strawberries. Puree about half of the strawberries in food processor or blender.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, whisk heavy cream, sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Step 3
    Fold in condensed milk until blended.
  • Step 4
    Spread about half this mixture into a loaf pan or container.
  • Step 5
    Spread about half of the strawberry puree on top.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle about half of the chopped strawberries on top. Spread remaining ice cream mixture into the container.
  • Step 7
    Spread remaining strawberry puree on top. Run a knife or spatula thru container to create swirl.
  • Step 8
    Sprinkle remaining chopped strawberries on top. Cover and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.
