Homemade Ice Cream - no machine needed

I found this on line but added my own touches; you can make it your own by adding whatever mix-in's you like. You can also leave out the dry cake mix but it does give it the "cake batter" flavor, which is my favorite, and seems to thicken it a bit more and make it creamier once frozen. You can also make this low calorie/low fat by using lite cool whip and fat free sweetened milk. Enjoy!!

    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1
    8 oz. container cool whip
  • 1/3 c
    dry cake mix, any flavor
  • 1/2 c
    caramel topping
  • ·
    crumbled brownie pieces
  • ·
    candy sprinkles

How to Make Homemade Ice Cream - no machine needed


  1. Mix sweetened condensed milk and cool whip together.
  2. Mix in dry cake mix and other ingredients.
  3. Top with additional sprinkles and a ribbon of caramel topping.
  4. Freeze 4 - 8 hours or overnight depending upon your freezer.
