homemade ice cream - no machine needed

I found this on line but added my own touches; you can make it your own by adding whatever mix-in's you like. You can also leave out the dry cake mix but it does give it the "cake batter" flavor, which is my favorite, and seems to thicken it a bit more and make it creamier once frozen. You can also make this low calorie/low fat by using lite cool whip and fat free sweetened milk. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 - 8 oz. container cool whip
  • 1/3 cup dry cake mix, any flavor
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • - crumbled brownie pieces
  • - candy sprinkles

How To Make homemade ice cream - no machine needed

  • Step 1
    Mix sweetened condensed milk and cool whip together.
  • Step 2
    Mix in dry cake mix and other ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Top with additional sprinkles and a ribbon of caramel topping.
  • Step 4
    Freeze 4 - 8 hours or overnight depending upon your freezer.
