Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups milk
- 4 ounces sweet chocolate, melted
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup coconut, shredded
- 2 cups light cream or half and half
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
How To Make german chocolate ice cream

Step 1Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in a 2 quart saucepan.

Step 2Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Step 3Cook additional 2 minutes and remove from heat.

Step 4Blend in melted chocolate.

Step 5Blend a small amount of hot mixture into eggs; return all to pan, stirring constantly.

Step 6Cook 1 minute (DO NOT BOIL).

Step 7Remove from heat; add coconut.

Step 8Cool and then blend in cream; chill.

Step 9Stir in nuts and churn-freeze. Makes 2 quarts.
