Ingredients
- - 3 cups whole milk
- - 1/4 tsp. freshly chopped garlic
- - 1 vanilla bean, split in half
- - 1 cup heavy cream
- - 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- - 9 egg yolks
How To Make garlic ice cream

Step 1Put milk, garlic and vanilla in pan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. In mixing bowl, blend cream, sugar and egg yolks.

Step 2Strain scalded milk mixture into the egg and sugar mixture, stirring constantly.

Step 3Return the combined mixture to the pan and stir continuously over moderate heat til it coats the back of a spoon, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 4Cool in an ice bath. Freeze til firm.
