Another fantastic recipe from my Grandma's collection :)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 medium eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mashed ripe bananas, about 6 medium

How To Make fresh banana ice cream

  • Step 1
    In Heavy Saucepan mix together flour, sugar and salt. Stir in milk & eggs. Cook over low, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and coats a metal spoon.
  • Step 2
    Pour mixture into a bowl and as it cools, stir to release the steam. Stir in lemon juice, heavy cream & bananas.
  • Step 3
    Freeze in 2 quart ice-cream freezer.
