How to Make French Vanilla Ice Cream


  1. Mix sugar, salt, milk, and egg yolks in a saucepan. Cook ad stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and place in cold water; cool.
  3. Stir in vanilla and cream. Chill thoroughly.
  4. Freeze in churn freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Transfer to freezer containers; pack and freeze to ripen.
