- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups milk
- 12 large egg yolks, beaten
- 4 tablespoons vanilla
- 4 cups heavy cream
How To Make french vanilla ice cream

Step 1Mix sugar, salt, milk, and egg yolks in a saucepan. Cook ad stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

Step 2Remove from heat and place in cold water; cool.

Step 3Stir in vanilla and cream. Chill thoroughly.

Step 4Freeze in churn freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.
