Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 3 1/2 - squares baking chocolate, broken
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 4 cups half and half
How To Make chocolate custard ice cream

Step 1Combine sugar, flour, and salt in a saucepan. Stir in milk. Blend in eggs and add chocolate pieces.

Step 2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.

Step 3Boil 1 min. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Step 4Add vanilla and half and half to custard and mix well.

Step 5Fill chilled ice cream container 2/3 full. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.

Step 6Pack in freezer containers and store in freezer until ready to serve.
