Ice-Cream Maker


  • 1 3/4 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 c
  • 2 large
    eggs, beaten
  • 3 1/2
    squares baking chocolate, broken
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 4 c
    half and half

How to Make Chocolate Custard Ice Cream


  1. Combine sugar, flour, and salt in a saucepan. Stir in milk. Blend in eggs and add chocolate pieces.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Boil 1 min. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Add vanilla and half and half to custard and mix well.
  5. Fill chilled ice cream container 2/3 full. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  6. Pack in freezer containers and store in freezer until ready to serve.
