This is my mom's recipe, we had tried some marschino cherry ice cream at this one dairy and it was so good. she came home and made a batch of homeade and it tastes the exact same.

Ingredients

1 quart prepared powdered milk ( powdered must be used)
1 can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons almond extract
1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding
2 jars maraschino cherries, chopped reserve juice

How To Make cherry vanilla ice cream

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except the cherries. Use 1 cup of the cherry juice, or more to your taste.

Step 2

Pour the mixture into an ice cream canister and fill with regular milk. When almost frozen add the cherries and freeze until the freezer stops.
