- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 pound bing cherries, stemmed and pitted
- 1/4 cup kirsch (cherry brandy)
- ~~ - vanilla ice cream
How To Make cherries jubilee

Step 1In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar and cherries and stir to combine. Cook until cherries are tender and sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove skillet from heat. Add Kirsch, and carefully ignite using a long handled lighter. When flame is extinguished or burns out, serve over vanilla ice cream.
