This is an easy recipe that always seems to impress folks who don't know how easy it is!

Ingredients For cherries jubilee

  • 1 lb
    can pitted bing cherries
  • 3/4 c
    currant jelly
  • 1/2 c
    brandy, the ordinary kind
  • 1-1/2 qt
    vanilla ice cream

How To Make cherries jubilee

  • 1
    Melt currant jelly over direct heat, stirring constantly, then add cherries, partially drained, and heat slowly.

    Pour brandy in to cherry mixture. When it is warm, light carefully with a match. Spoon flaming fruit over ice cream and serve immediately.
