I haven't made this yet but I will be making it for Saturday June 30, 2012 for an Ice Cream Social. I will let you know how well it is liked.

2 c
light cream
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp
butter, cold
2 c
heavy cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
toasted chopped pecans

How to Make Butter Pecan Ice Cream


  • 1Combine the light cream, sugar, and butter in a medium saucepan. Cook stirring constantly over low heat until bubbles form around the edges of the pan.
    Let the mixture cool and put it in the ice cream machine.
  • 2Stir in heavy cream and vanilla.
  • 3Freeze as directed by your machine's manufacturer.
  • 4Add pecans after ice cream begins to harden.
