Ingredients

  • 1 - recipe for graham cracker crust for 11x15 inch pan
  • 4 - bananas
  • 1/2 gallon neopolitan ice cream
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 jar strawberry jam or fresh sliced strawberries
  • TOPPING FOR DESSERT
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 pint cool whip
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make banana split dessert

  • Step 1
    Press graham cracker crust into 11x15 inch pan.
  • Step 2
    Slice bananas and layer on crust. Slice frozen ice cream into 1/2 inch slices and layer over bananas. Spread on jam or layer on fresh strawberries sliced. Sprinkle on nuts. FREEZE
  • Step 3
    TOPPING: Melt 1 cup choc.chips & 1/2 cup butter. Add powdered sugar and evap.milk. Cook until thick stirring constantly. ReMOVEfrom heat and add 1 tsp.vanilla. COOL.
  • Step 4
    Pour over frozen dessert and freeze. Then spread cool whip over all & freeze. KEEPS 3 WEEKS IN FREEZER.
