  • 4
    bananas, unpeeled, halved and split lengthwise
  • 4 c
    frozen yogurt or ice cream, any flavor
  • 4 Tbsp
    peanut butter chips
  • 4 Tbsp
    crushed toffee bits
  • 4 Tbsp
    chocolate and/or caramel sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    pretzels, crushed
  • 4 Tbsp
    colored sprinkles
  • 4
    maraschino cherries

How to Make 5-Layer Banana Split


  1. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium heat (300*F to 350*F).
  2. Grill bananas cut-side down 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn; grill, peel-side down, 5 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and remove peels.
  3. Place 4 banana pieces in the bottom of each of 4 individual bowls. Top with ice cream, peanut butter chips and toffee bits. Drizzle with chocolate and/or caramel sauce. Top with crushed pretzels, sprinkles and a cherry, and serve.
