Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 20 ounces can, pineapple slices
- 12 - maraschino cherries
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make yummy pineapple upside down cake

Step 1Melt butter and pour into 9" springform pan. Make sure butter coats the entire pan bottom and around the edge.

Step 2Sprinkle the brown sugar all the around the bottom.

Step 3Start the design by putting a ring of pineapple right in the center with a cherry in the middle.

Step 4Break the rest of the rings in two and make a pattern around the ring in the middle.

Step 5Put cherries in the middle of each pineapple slice.

Step 6Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 7Whisk the wet ingredients in a bowl

Step 8Add the wet and dry ingredients together with a spatula. Do not overmix.

Step 9Pour the cake mix gently into the spring form pan, not disturbing the other ingredients already in the pan.

Step 10Place pan in 350 degree F oven on a cookie sheet to catch any drips.

Step 11Bake about 40 minutes or until center is set. Use a toothpick to check but do not stick toothpick all the way to the bottom.

Step 12Cool on wire rack for at least 45 minutes before turning upside down and serving.
