Super simple, yet delish recipe that was passed down to me from my grandmother. Great for a spur-of-the-moment craving for something sweet or surprise house guests (because this can be whipped up in a jiff and then can bake while you're eating dinner; timing does not have to be exact!)

Ingredients

  • 40 oz cans canned yams, drained
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling
  • - walnuts
  • - maraschino cherries
  • - light brown sugar

How To Make yam blueberry delight

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Combine blueberry pie filling and yams. Place in a casserole dish.
  • Step 3
    Cover and bake for 40-50 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Uncover and place walnuts on top. Keep uncovered for 10 minutes longer.
  • Step 5
    Remove from oven. Garnish with brown sugar and maraschino cherries
