very easy apple turnovers
I am always trying to find new ways to use my canned apples and this recipe is a snap. If you don't can your own apple pie filling then you could use store bought but I would add a few more spices to the store bought to kick it up a bit.

How To Make very easy apple turnovers
-
Step 1Thaw out your two sheets of pastry dough. Roll out on a floured service to make a 12" square and cut each sheet into 4 squares.
-
Step 2Fill each square with 1/2 cup of applie pie filling (I used homemade), fold the pastry into a triangle and seal edges. I used a fork to crimp the edges. Put the sugar and cinnamon in the melted butter, stir and with a pastry brush, brush the top of each turnover.
-
Step 3Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until pastry is golden in color. Serve warm or cold.
