Stuffed Medjool Dates

4 oz. cream cheese or mascarpone, softened
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp. orange juice
grated orange peel
16 medjool dates
ground cinnamon or nutmeg


1Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, orange juice, and grated orange peel to taste. Blend well til smooth.
2Cut and remove pits from dates.
3Spoon or pipe filling into dates. Sprinkle with a very light dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg. Makes 4 to 8 servings.
