strawberry squares
This recipe is great for card clubs, womens club pot lucks and family gatherings or just a dessert at your home. I usually double the recipe, it taste like ice cream sundae. Do not leave sitting out, must be kept frozen. Delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 - egg whites
- 10 ounces frozen strawberry (thawed) or other fruit
- 1 large cool whip (lite can be used)
How To Make strawberry squares

Step 1Mix first four ingredients together with fork till crumb consistancy, bake on cookie sheet till nice light brown. stir occasionally while browning. Put 2/3 of crumbs into 9 x 12 cake pan. Set aside 1/3 of the crumbs for topping.

Step 2Beat together at high speed sugar, egg whites and fruit with juice till stands in peaks, remove and fold in 1 large tub cool whip (lite ) can be used also. Spread mixture over the cooled crumbs. Sprinkle some of the reserved crumbs on top. Freeze six hours. Serve frozen
