This can be either a dessert or a salad. I made this for Christmas one year several years ago and now its the only thing they want me to make for family holiday dinners:)

Ingredients

3 cups pretzels crushed (not to fine)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 sticks butter or margarine
MIDDLE LAYER
1 - 8oz. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 - 8oz. tub cool whip
TOP LAYER
2 - 3oz. pkgs. strawberry jello
2 - 10oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries (partially thawed)
2 cups boiling water

How To Make strawberry pretzel dessert

Step 1

Combine pretzels, brown sugar, and butter or margarine, press into bottom of 9 x 13" pan and bake for 10 minutes. Cool

Step 2

Soften 8oz. cream cheese and mix with one cup of sugar, combine with the 8oz. tub of cool whip and spread over cooled crust. Put in refridgerator.
Step 3

Mix two 3oz. pkgs.of the strawberry jello with 2 cups boiling water, stir until dissolved. Add two 10oz. pkgs.of the partially frozen strawberries, mix well. Partially set jello mixture and pour on top of other 2 layers, Chill over night. Enjoy!!!
