strawberry graham squares

I had no idea what to make for dessert one night and this is what came out of my pantry. You could use any canned pie filling for the topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 - graham cracker crust
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • - strawberry topping
  • GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST
  • 1 1/4 cups graham crackers, crushed or graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • STRAWBERRY TOPPING
  • 2 cups strawberries sliced
  • 2 cups strawberry syrup
  • - chocolate chips

How To Make strawberry graham squares

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make the Graham cracker crust - mix graham crackers, sugar & butter together;press into an 8 x 8 pan. bake 8 minutes, cool and set aside while making filling.
  • Step 2
    Cream together the cream cheese & sugar; add the eggs and beat until creamy. Pour into cooled crust. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. After taking out of the oven, cover the top evenly with chocolate chips; let set until cool and chips are melted.
  • Step 3
    Strawberry topping - slice strawberries and add to syrup in small sauce pan;add a bit of cornstarch to thicken. cook on med/low just until thick. Let cool. Spoon on the top of filling. Chill at least 1 hour.
