Ingredients

  • 1 - 10 ounce angel food cake
  • 16 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries
  • 18 ounces jar strawberry glaze
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
  • 1 jar chocolate syrup (optional)

How To Make strawberry fields forever (sallye)

  • Step 1
    Hull and slice strawberries, place in large mxing bowl and set aside Break angel food cake into bite size chunks and set aside
  • Step 2
    Whisk cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until creamy and sugar is dissolved Fold in Cool Whip
  • Step 3
    In a trifle bowl (or other decorative bowl) begin layering as follows: 1 layer of cake 1 layer of strawberries 1 layer of cream cheese/cool whip mixture 1 layer of strawberry glaze A sprinkle of pecans (optional) Continue layering until all ingredients are used finishing with a sprinkle of pecans. Drizzle chocolate syrup over top (optional) Add a sprig of mint to top for garnish if desired
