Ingredients

10 ounce angel food cake
16 oz
softened cream cheese
1 c
granulated sugar
8 oz
cool whip
1 qt
fresh strawberries
18 oz
jar strawberry glaze
1 c
pecans, chopped (optional)
1 jar(s)
chocolate syrup (optional)

Step-By-Step

1Hull and slice strawberries, place in large mxing bowl and set aside

Break angel food cake into bite size chunks and set aside
2Whisk cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until creamy and sugar is dissolved

Fold in Cool Whip
3In a trifle bowl (or other decorative bowl) begin layering as follows:

1 layer of cake
1 layer of strawberries
1 layer of cream cheese/cool whip mixture
1 layer of strawberry glaze
A sprinkle of pecans (optional)

Continue layering until all ingredients are used finishing with a sprinkle of pecans.

Drizzle chocolate syrup over top (optional)

Add a sprig of mint to top for garnish if desired
