Ingredients
- 1 - large tub of frozen sliced strawberries
- 2 cups sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
How To Make strawberry cobbler

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Mix together strawberries, water, and 1 c. of sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.

Step 3Place stick of butter or margarine in a 9X13 glass baking dish and put in oven to melt while strawberries are simmering.

Step 4When strawberries start to boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 5When butter or margarine is melted, remove from oven.

Step 6Mix together flour and remaining 1 c. of sugar. Slowly add milk to prevent clumping and stir with whisk until smooth.

Step 7Evenly pour batter mixture into hot melted butter. DO NOT STIR.

Step 8Spoon strawberries on top of batter mixture, then gently pour remaining syrup evenly over the top.

Step 9Bake for 35 minutes. (Batter will rise to the top while baking.)
