Ingredients

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    cinnamon, ground
  • 2 c
    fresh fruit
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Southern Fruit Cobler

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in 9" square baking dish. Sift sugar, flour, and baking powder together. Add the milk and vanilla and blend well. Pour batter over melted butter. Spoon on fruit. If apples are used, sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350* for about an hour. Test with toothpick to see if it is done.
